Documents you'll need
You'll need your original Indian passport (every page — keep colour scans before you submit), your current British passport with at least six months remaining, your Home Office naturalisation certificate, proof of UK address from within the last three months, two recent 2x2 inch photos on a white background, your full birth certificate (Indian or UK), proof of Indian origin from a parent or grandparent, and a marriage certificate if your name has changed since the Indian passport was issued. Why does this bundle cost £130 when separate services cost more?
We pre-fill both portal applications in one workflow using the same document pack, which removes the duplicate review work. The £130 service fee is fixed. The High Commission/VFS fees for the Surrender Certificate and OCI card are paid separately to VFS — those are government charges, not ours.
How long does the full surrender + OCI journey take?
Typically 8 to 10 weeks end-to-end. The Surrender Certificate is usually issued within 1–2 weeks of your VFS visit, and the OCI card follows roughly 6–8 weeks after the OCI submission. Times can vary with VFS workload.
Do I need to visit your office?
