Your trip to VFS: Slough to 2 Alie Street, the fast way
Every adult applicant from Slough ends at the VFS Global centre, 2 Alie Street, London E1 8DE, just off Leman Street in Aldgate. You have two genuinely good routes, which is more than most commuter towns can say:
- Elizabeth line, direct — roughly 40 to 50 minutes into central London, then on to Aldgate East for Alie Street. One seat, no changes.
- GWR to Paddington, fast — around 18 to 20 minutes Slough to Paddington, then a short Tube hop east. If you value speed over a single seat, this is the quickest way in.
This is the quiet advantage of being in Slough: while a returned application is always a nuisance, the trip back into Aldgate is short enough that it stings less than it would from, say, deep outer London. The catch is the same for everyone — Alie Street is the only lodging point for the whole region. There is no Croydon office and no Wembley desk; Slough, Southall, Harrow, and the rest all funnel to the same finite appointments.

Service 1 — Fresh OCI card from Slough
A fresh OCI is your first Overseas Citizenship of India card: a lifelong, multiple-entry route to India for people of Indian origin and their spouses. Most Slough residents who naturalised as British — and their eligible children — start here. It is not the same as a transfer or re-issue (where you already hold OCI and have a new passport), and getting that fork wrong is the first way to waste money.

Service 3 — OCI transfer to a new passport from Slough
